Nissan lowered its full-year profit forecast

Nissan is an international full-line vehicle manufacturer that sells more than sixty models, all under the Datsun, INFINITI and Nissan brands. In the fiscal year of 2016, the company has sold 5.63 million vehicles globally, producing a revenue of 11.72 trillion yen. Nissan manufactures, engineers and markets the world’s best selling all electric vehicle in history, the Nissan LEAF.

In the year 2016 Nissan received 34 percent stake in Mitsubishi Motors, which became the third member of the Alliance, a grouping with a collective annual sales of approximately 10 million units per year.

 

Nissan reduced its full year profit forecast

 

Nissan has diminished its full year profit forecast following a safety inspection issue reach earnings. The carmaker predicts an operating profit of 645 billion yen ($5.7 billion or £4.3 billion) for the year until the month of March of 2018, falling from their previous 685 billion yen.

Nissan recalled 1.2 million units within the domestic market last month following glitches in safety check ups were uncovered.

 

The New Nissan LEAF

 

Nissan’s model LEAF was named “2018 Best of Innovation” at the yearly “Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Unveiled” ceremony.

The award was given before a collection of experts from the tech industry in New York, this marks the first global award for the all-new zero emission Nissan LEAF.

According to Nissan’s confirmation of its leading investment in innovation, the new model is a 100 percent electric vehicle. The car includes e-Pedal technology and a ProPILOT Assist. These following innovations snagged the following honors:

  • CES Best of Innovation award winner for Vehicle Intelligence and Self-Driving Technology.
  • CES honoree for Tech for a Better World.

The new Nissan LEAF includes a compelling collection of everyday useful technologies and innovations to more users worldwide than any electric vehicle in the market. The car is contributing to make the world a better place through accessibility to more people and its innovative technologies.

The Nissan LEAF will be on sale in early 2018 at LEAF certified Nissan dealers.

2018 Midnight Edition lineup

 Nissan sold approximately 50,000 Midnight Edition models in the 2017 model, including about 80 percent of Maxima SR models. Nissan is reported to expand the lineup to include TITAN and TITAN XD models and the Frontier.

 

2018 Midnight Editions are starting to arrive at Nissan Dealers, with some models available within the later months of November and December.
